A step above traditional qualification testers, the Advanced Link Identification (ALI) Remote Terminators used for Certi-Lite testing with Network Service Assistant (NSA) gives technicians a truly revolutionary testing capability that approaches the capabilities of certification testers.
Using the ALI Remote Terminators for NSA Certi-Lite testing provides ANSI/TIA-1152-A standards-based test results of CAT3-CAT6A cabling systems, performed in a single ended test using the terminator at the far end. These test results include Length, Delay, DC Loop Resistance, DC Resistance Unbalance Pair-to-Pair, Insertion Loss, Return Loss, NEXT and more (see Certi-Lite section for details).
In addition to the standards-based testing, the ALI Remote Terminators provide Live Wiremap capability for the Certi-Lite test with numerical identifiers, so up to 8 different identifiers can be used to quickly sort out cabling system links which have not been correctly labeled.
The NSA-K30E and NSA K31E kits come with ALI Remote Terminator #1. Replacement ALI Remote Terminator #1 can be ordered using part number NSA-REMOTE. Adding the additional numbered ALI Remote Terminators to these kits is accomplished by adding one of two available accessory kits:

Studies have shown that a large percentage of all cabling faults are related to miswiring. NSA graphically reports the end-to-end wiremap from within the Certi-Lite test screen at the moment the remote terminator is detected without having to run Autotest. After getting instant view of the wiring fault, the technician can find the location of the fault simply by clicking the wiremap picture. And after resolving the issue, NSA’s Live Wiremap reporting helps to verify the fix instantly. In addition to a rapid CAT6A Single-ended Autotest, this is another important productivity improvement feature of NSA.
