Testing Workflow
Power On & Connect: CuBLU is ready to test immediately on power-up. CuBLU II and III also pair with the UniBLU app via Bluetooth for app-based control and documentation.
Run Autotest: One-touch testing delivers a complete wiremap, fault diagnosis and — on CuBLU II and III — cable length and resistance measurements automatically.
Read Results: Pass/fail results appear immediately on the colour TFT display, with named fault types for faster diagnosis. CuBLU II and III push results directly to the UniBLU app for saving and export.
Wiremap Testing: Full wiremap analysis across all pairs, detecting six named fault types — open, short, miswire, crossover, split pair and multi-fault — along with shield continuity detection.
Cable Length & Resistance Measurement: CuBLU II and III measure cable length and DC resistance per pair — critical for verifying cable runs. CuBLU III assesses PoE suitability before deployment.
Voltage Detection: Built-in AC/DC voltage detection warns technicians of live cables before connection, with protection up to 60 VDC / 50 VAC. Tests safely without additional equipment.
PoE Detection: Identifies PoE class, type, voltage and active pair on live network ports — enabling safe, non-disruptive verification in environments with cameras, access points, sensors and AV equipment. (CuBLU III)
Tone Generator: Selectable audio tones from 800 Hz to 1500 Hz, including alternating-tone modes, for cable tracing and identification in bundles using a compatible inductive probe.
The UniBLU app transforms CuBLU II and III from standalone testers into connected field tools — enabling technicians to save, label and export test results directly from the job site.
Instant Sync: Test results transfer automatically to the app via Bluetooth as each test completes.
Cable Labelling: Assign labels to each tested run for organised, project-ready records.
Export-Ready Reports: Export results from the app to support handover documentation, client sign-off and maintenance records — without manual transcription or end-of-day paperwork.
CuBLU supports up to 16 remote IDs, allowing technicians to identify and track multiple cable runs from a single end during installation or verification — reducing the need for a second person at the far end.
